For the first steps of Assessment one I was tasked to write a reflective essay based around the Introduction and Chapter 1 in the assigned text. Although this seemed difficult at first, and I really had no idea what I was doing, I was able to learn so much about the basics of Accounting. In doing this assessment I was enlightened to the fact that I would be able to complete this subject and degree if I strive to be an active learner.
Update:
I have received my results back and I got 2.5/3 which I feel is a great start to my course. One thing that I now know that I can improve on is just to focus more on the Key Concepts and Questions (KCQ’s) when studying Lectures and readings. I feel if I focus on the KCQ’s it will also help me to learn the terminology associated with Accounting faster as well.
